HEY EVERYONE....Well I have one more year to go! This week went by way fast... all the weeks seem to go like that now... we have a lot of people that we are working with. And strange mixture indeed. We have our Golden two baptisms on April 4th and 5th (Marc and McKayla) so I'm really looking forward to that. I can still go even if I’m not serving in that area anymore, which is really nice. We are working with Chris who is our friend with half a brain.... literally.... I don't know if I mentioned him already but he had two strokes and it ate out the middle of his brain. So it’s hard to talk to a 40 year old man who looks okay but has the memory of a 10 yr. old. He gets really frustrated so we watch a lot of movies at the visitor center. It was funny though; we told him that he needed to stop drinking coffee so he got really mad because nobody had told him it was bad for him before. . But he stopped "cold turkey", so he’s really trying. It snowed this week and we caught him walking back from the Grocery store with a shovel in his hand. So I asked him what he was doing and he said “spreading Gods word". He spent three hours shoveling the snow and ice in the WHOLE PARKING LOT (even though they have people who get paid to do that ) so the old ladies wouldn't slip and fall. It was cute. He has NO Filter so he says everything he thinks and feels…. which is great. :).
We went to the City today; to the Library of Congress and Jefferson Memorial. It was fun but probably a 15 mile walk. I love seeing all the policeman on horses. And I had my first hot dog at an actual hot dog stand in the city. Every time we take the metro train I feel like I’m in a movie or something. I’ll have to send some pictures home on CD so they can be attached to the emails. I haven't gotten a chance yet...sorry. Not too much more than that this week. I’m getting really tired lately from working hard so it’s building character... I LOVE IT!!!! I miss you all. Thanks so much for the sweet letters and love that you send my way. I really appreciate it. DC LOVES YOU! BE GOOD THIS WEEK! xoxo SISTER WALT
